Tray Problem with v3 ps2 :(
Ok this is the situation: I have a v3 console with (at the moment) no chip installed. I friend of mine tried to solder a magic 3 chip into the ps2, but that did´nt work. So we brought it to a proffesial installer. I waited 2 days, and then he gave me a call. The guy said he could solder it, but the damage (check the attached file) from the previous install was so big, that the ps2 was broke. When i came home, i checked my ps2, and he was running just fine. The only problem there was, was that the tray would open, but he won´t close again. Now i have to push the tray back in kinda rough to get the laser to work :(. Does anyone know what it could be?? As you can see on the attachment there is some major damage on the motherboard. We removed some solder and we set the pins straight again, so the damage is not so bad as on the picture. Is the damage to the motherboard the problem or can it be something else??
