one totally solderless solution would be FMCB with ESR/HDLoader/Usbadvance since it doesn't even require opening the case at all. Check it out in the Homebrew/Freevast section. Though you do need to patch your backup iso's with ESR patcher and use ESR to boot your backups, it works for those like me who hate soldering. Oh, and it's free too. And you can get it installed onto a memory card for free if you mail out someone the card with postage paid self addressed envelope.
