    any soldering tips for soldering a 22 gauge wire to the 3v resistor on a v7 messiah 2 install?

    yes tin the wire with flux and solder.. keep the wire laid flat on the board when soldering it.. that resister will pull off very easy

    You can use a razor to clean an area between the component on the mobo and then melt solder on the clean area.
    You made a new point to solder the fat wire to it if you dont like to solder to the component.
    Look at the picture attached.
