From what I can gather, there are improvements being made to the Magic 3's that address this problem and many others, but I don't have any details. All's I know is that they are looking at making the chip much more stable, with the added feature of being able to turn the chip off for anti-mod protected games. That's all I know.

yea, kinda sux to spend another ~$40 to fix a couple of games, but owell, u do get the switch function.

KH and GT3 works fine for me so I dont have to worry, that is...until i get into online gaming....arg

the turn off mode is also for when you go on the net with your ps2 so that sony cant detect that ppl have chips in there console

i have 3.1's and they work ok

Then these people are smoking crack... I have been hammering this as a solution for some time man. It not only help the issue of freezing, but when $ony decides to jack people online its gonna help too. Thanks to everyone who has gotten onboard with this man... And those who have actually tested these theories (And found they work!)
