    Hey techies...

I've modded two v18 (model 90000) this week... both were, according to the Duo website, version 2's. I just got a version 1, and I can't get it apart.

The heatshield, near as I can tell, is being held in place with a big chunk of 2-way tape. If I can't get the shield off, I cannot get to the X, A, B, G-I points.

Anyone had a similar experience? Gotten it apart?

    Much obliged,
    Mike @ Durhammods

Am I to assume that I'm the only bloke to get one of these v18's with the heatshield locked in place with 2-way tape? Son of a bitch... how'd I get so lucky???

I'd be really careful to make sure that there are no screws that you have missed. Check again. If you're absolutely certain that its being held together with doubled sided tape, then just rip it apart. But make sure there are no screws that you've missed.
