Hi here is instructions on slide card and swap magic.

Let me know how it works i was looking in to getting slide-card and swap magic too, kind of dissapointed that your having a hard time with it. Makes me thing its not going to work. Let me know how it goes.
Frank
guy who sold em to me didnt give me the best instructions. he's still really good though www.psxservices.co.uk.
turns out the DVD [MS 2.0] doesn't work all the time. just had to eject the disc and put it back in.
btw, the guide doesn't make it very clear but the DVD swap magic is used for almost all ps2 games, as well as movie dvds.
so you dont really need the slide card just the Swap Magic? Does it work like that, you not using the slide card at all?

basically the discs are so the ps2 can boot up. if u put a copied game or imported game in, it won't load.
once you've put swap magic in, and its loaded, 'insert game' will appear
here's where the slide card comes in
you MANUALLY use this to pull out the ps2 disc tray [pressing the button will send a signal to the ps2 and it will realise theres a new disc in there, and it won't work]
put your copied/imported game in, then use the slide card to manually close the tray. unofrtunatly neither ejecting nor closing the tray can be done without the card, theres part inside the tray that have to be pressed, the shape of the card is designed to do it.
you should get the slide card, it aint too expensive (around £30/$45 with swap magtic discs) when compared with solder mod chips.
If you dont mind swapping, its fine, but you can get a dup chip for the same price (cheaper actually)
