OK .. first of all i would like to apologise for my poor english i a hope that you would understand what i'm writing

Now.. my problem sounds something like this.. i have a ps2 50004 (dont know what version , v9 or v10) and i thought that before i mode it i should give it a try with Swap Magic 3. I've downloaded the cd image from the internet, burnd the image to cd with Alchool 120%. The problem is that it would not boot from the cd and it gives me the message to insert a valid PS or PS 2 cd/dvd. So if u r kind enough to give me a sugestion about what's the problem and eventualy a sugestion i would appreciate it.

You can't boot a copy directly without a mod chip. If you had an original swap magic and used the slide card trick, then you can boot backups, but a mod chip is the best way to go.

And what's so special about the original SwapMagic 3 disk? Why can't it just be... let's say backuped?

because there is NO SUCH THING as a SELFBOOT CD-R!!!!! (this is assuming that you are using a unmodified retail PS2 unit)

Question, is there a exploit method that will allow you to create a Boot Disk like Swap Magic that will work on a CDR by any chance?

I read around here and heard about alot of nice dreams of having like a Memory card with exploit on it to boot backups CDRs like Swap Magic.
