These guys list their no-solders as v5/6/7 chips, but I'm not sure if they truly are v7 compatible. You can e-mail them to make sure. They can sell the swapdiscs and chip compined for $29, or just the chip for $10. I got one for my v5 over a year ago, and it's still running perfectly for me. They have a good return policy. My CD SwapDisk wouldn't boot. I e-mailed them and they just told me to send it back for refund/replacement with a note detailing my purchase, problem and my preference of refund/replacement.

Good Luck!

yeah they work i tried them the (Swap Magic PS2 Boot Disc v2.0) you asked about "garymaule" but youll still need away to get the disk out of your ps2 you cant just put the disk in eject and put in a backup. eject will make your ps check of a "real" disk youll need a no-solder or one of the covers
