Super DMS 3.3 –
01-28-2006,03:51 PM
Before anyone says it, I know its not a legitimate DMS chip, but has anyone tried this mochip and had any luck with it. I was thinking of buying it for my Version 9 PS2. I would like some more info on it if possible, nobody seems to have tried it.
Here is a pic of the chip:

Seems to be a Mars Pro clone (that's what a installer friend of my told me). Crappy modchip, stay away from it.
PS2 50001 V9 + Matrix Infinity + Maxtor 80Gb HDD = FUN!

Thanks for the advice. However, that's why I want to hear from people who have actually installed one of these chips. I know they are not legitimate DMS chips but neither are Duo X3 chips for the Xbox. They aren't made by Team Omega who make the Duo X2's. And yet, I still went ahead and bought one and it works flawlessly no problem and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to chip their xbox.

Most times users get trouble with cheap rippoffs. So I suggest you get a "real" chip

I buy cheap rip off chips all the time, and usually dont have problems with them. To me the low price offsets any downside to them.

Cheap XBox chips are one thing (hell a decent DuoX2 can be had for $10 and it's not a clone), but a cheap PS2 chip can be a completely different can of worms. It's personaly worth more to spend the extra $10-$20 for PS2 chips that are legit. Especialy if you get the updateable chips that rely on the real chip marker's code.
