im pretty new to modding ps2's so i just got a few ?'s about this mod...

    1) if i do this do i still need to do the romeo mod?
    2) for the v9 fix all i see on this forum is the v9 pic, do i just connect a resistor to those two points?

    1) It is an alternative to the Romeo mod so no!

I suggest you just do the romeo mod for v9/10. I've had great success with it.

all the pictures you need are in the original thread here:
    http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/show...summ0ne+fix+v9

you can connect 2 resistors one to focus and one to tracking but in tests only one resistor appears to be needed for v9's (have not done a v10 so dont know about them)

I have a v9 and only installed the 560ohm resistor and its still going strong after about 3 months and hours and hours playing gta san andreas......

yes from one yellow point to the other,

if you look at the picture in the second last post in the other thread by wmb88
it shows you which points to solder and what resistors to use...

like I said you dont have to apply the 4.7k resistor if you dont want too... just the 560ohm one..
