Successful dms3 indications
Successful dms3 indications –
I just got a ps2 ATV Offroad w/ broadband adapter bundle for christmas and I recently put in a dms3 V2. If my install was successful, would the boot-up screen be different from the original ? How could I tell if the installation was good or not? I was thinking I could make a back-up of a game and see if it could read it. If it does then the install is fine, but that can't prove anything. I could make a bad back-up and still be unable to know if the install is good? Is there something that I can do to see if the chip is installed correctly?
No. You just need to test DVD backups and CD backups PS2/PS1. And no, the boot screen does not change. If both formats boot, you have succeeded. I guess, I'm kinda new to this myself.
well see if dev mode works.. hold the triangle button when starting up the ps2.. if it doesnt go to the no data white screen the dms3 is not working. If it works, try a dvd game
It's funny that I didn't get that no screen white screen when I hold down the triangle button during boot-up and the install is good. What I did was borrow my brother's friend's game backup which he says is good and put it into my ps2. It read it and was playable. I guess the install is good. BTW thanks for the suggestions and help. Time to play.
Dev-mode has to be installed first on the memcard to get it to work. (DMS3 explorer) after you've done that hold triangle and it will boot up if the install is good
A way of testing the install is offcourse seeing if backups work(CD/DVD), but also if other region DVD's work with green screen corrected.
you could also try upgrading the bios.
