Hi I just installed my red magic2 in a v4gap machine. After getting it all in this happened.

when I first plugged it in, it wouldn't even send a video signal, but I did get power. I checked all wires and there was one that came off. I reattached it and it goes to the swirling electrons, however, They are accompanied my this horrible sound of feedback on the audio system. You can sort of hear sound too, but the overtone is the really loud screech. Also, you put in any media, even originals, and it recognizes it, goes blank, goes to the browser screen, correctly identified. I hit X to boot and it sounds like its going but comes right back to the browser screen. Now I did put a cap in the s wire, and I checked the laser before I modded and it works good.

Now I know that the booting problem is probably caused by something bridged in the bios (I had to go to work and could'nt continue). However, anyone got any idea what the hell might be causing the screech? do you guys think I blew something?

    Thanks,
    panvamp

hello i was i red your post it said you stuck a RED magic 2 in, the red one was the fixed one which could play ntsc ps1 games, it was the YELLOW magic2 v7 with the underline that needed the cap or though this is not causing your problem, its related in the bios you have to make sure that none of your bios pins are touching, get a multi meter set it to ohms and check the bios wires and if your getting reading if you do then its your bios ,
