Strange Matrix Infinity problem
Strange Matrix Infinity problem –
08-04-2004,09:23 PM
I installed the matrix infinity and works as advertised. All media boots fine except the network adapter start-up disk. When I boot to this disk the playstation one symbol comes up with a distorted crackling on the boot sound. There is no video output from this point on (not a black screen; no video signal out) When I remove the network adapter disk no other media will boot, and there is no video signal out even with no disk installed. Power off and unplug for 30 min to 2 hours same result; but when I leave powered off for 4 or more hours operations return to normal. I have had the same results with bios ver 1.0 & 1.2 . I got around the network install prob but was interested in theories as to the cause of the malfunction.

I have a similar problem, i recently installed a Ripper3 to my v7, everything went ok, powered up fine, then i reset and the sound was all crackling. I powered off then on, off, on, off and so on but still crackling. Then for no apparent reason it stopped and played the sound as normal, then it didn't, then it did. I removed the mod but this the same thing happens, i can turn it on one minute and it ok then the next minute its not. Any ideas anyone?

there is prolly a short or dirt between the bios points.
check your work - otherwise it might blow a pin on the DSP and u wont be able to remove the crackling in the sony splash or boot ps2 games
