About LinkBacksI am working on a clients PS2 today, he tried an install of a DMS3 his self, but that didn't go too well for him. Enter me.
I managed to clean off everything on this 50001 v9 board and the system has returned but it will not eject at all.
I took the cover off the drive and placeed a game in and the system works again great.
It will not eject.
Where should I look or check. I checked on the reset connection but all looks good.
Any advice?

05-05-2004,05:11 PMi would organize ur install or resolder "C" cause i had wierd stuf in my install the other day it was messy i just put electric tape over bga(like two layers and it worked fine. Check organization and eject "C"

There is no chip in it yet. Just trying to pull out clean from his very messy install.
The system acts 100% nornal other then the tray does not come out when you hit the eject. The light flashes, the laser works. It's not stuck and I replaces the reset/eject cable and still nothing.

05-05-2004,09:47 PMhahaha - scary thought - if you can't fix this you might have to buy a flip top so you can get around the not ejecting part...
look for shorts around the areas that the chip was connected to - i.e. bios and via points.
also ensure the mini ribbon cable is still securely connected.

this happened to me in a v9!! It is all good!! I dismounted all the dvd reader and then mounted it again. and it works great!! maybe something gets out of it´s place!!

05-05-2004,10:22 PMlol , i just got a v10 back that had a dms for a week that will only eject the tray if you press it 10 times and then it will shot it at you 1000 miles an hour ,. i guess its another la problem because disc dont spin and the laser does nothing . BRING BACK THE V7 PLEASE !
