OK so I'm sure that I don't have a seperate NTSC fix (if thats what you mean, a seperate chip) and the V wire is in place so I'm not sure what the problem could be except for this last diagram. Could this be the cause of my problems. Thank you for your help

The picture you have provided is for the NTSC color fix and the other is used if you want to plug your PS2 into your TV via a scart connector, as it will fix the green screen problem when playing back DVD movie titles.
If you have a PAL version PS2, then do the NTSC color fix so you can playback your NTSC games in color, otherwise they'll come out black and white if you don't have an NTSC compatible TV or VCR. If you have an NTSC playback TV and/or VCR, then there's no need to do the fix.
Do the RGB fix only if your going to use a scart connector or component cable.
    Regards,
    Relayer

nããããã, if you have a USA console, you don´t need to solder this points, its for PAL systems, to view NTSC based games in color on PAL TV.
If you have a NTSC console and don´t have a ntsc-fix, use this one.

So do I attach the two 3.45 points together on the diagram with a wire. And if I do this, where do I attach the ground. (i.e. GND on the messiah- where would this point go?). I'm assuming that it would go to the GND on the regular setup. And finally, do I need to remove the solder from the last two points that "allow all import games and films to play in color"

Just link the point to the 3,45V... you don't need link to Gnd... its a selector, that point to Vcc=Ntsc, to Gnd=PAL, got it?

Sorry, one last thing. Do I need to remove the solder from the last two points (the ones for the pal system). And....Just to clarify, so I do attach the two 3.45 together and I don't need to worry about the GND on the messiah.

    I really appreciate your help.

Yeah, you must remove the both points from the diagram you post and do a jumper as showed on color-fix diagram. don't worry about any other points to ground, ok?

Thanks, I'm going to take to my installer now and I'll let you know how it works out. He's a TV repair man and only has soldering skills. But he has no idea what the Chip is for or what its does.
