Are special skills needed to install messiah 2 chips compared to other mod chips?
Are special skills needed to install messiah 2 chips compared to other mod chips? –

I'm facing a dilemma. I've ordered a messiah2 chip my self so I can be sure that I get the genuine one rather than a clone. Theres a shop near where I live that installs modchips. The installer in that shop has a lot of experience installing clone chips i.e other chips appart from messiah2 (Honk Kong chips) into PS2's.
I want to make sure there are no hassles with the install but I'm worried this installer I'm talking about is not a messiah 2 specialist. To install the messiah 2 chip are specific skills needed compared to other chips / or does the installer need to be aware of certain things about the messiah 2 when installing the chip.
Like I said he's got plenty of experience installing clone magic 4 chips and soldering in general but am worried he might stuff up the install because he's not used to messiah 2.
The advantage of taking to this shop is that he'll let me see that my chip is in the machine as opposed to leaving the machine with somebody that I don't know in somebodys home and not knowing if he really installed my chip and might have installed a clone instead. Also I don't like the idea of walking into a strangers house and leaving the machine there. At least this installer has a shop so you feel safer.
I don't know what to do
Please help

If the guy is experienced installing clones then he is capable of installing a messiah...
Thats what Liquidcell and GothInTheBox are saying...
If you are really worried find out what version PS2 you have and print out Chalies FAQ for the install...
Take the FAQ with you when you go to the installer and they should not have any problems...

sorry bout that, any installer that installs chips should have experience soldering and will know how to wire up any chip if givin diagrams.
Solderless Mods and Flip tops are like tampons, every pussy needs one!
