I've just removed a dms3 after trying to fit it to a v4 (gap) machine three times. The soldering went smoothly but the chip just did not want to work it could be a dud since i've fitted many dms3's successfully in the past. The problem I now have is that the machine gives out a loud tone/feedback when booting up. and when the browser/system settings menu appears the glowing orbs do not spread out and spin in a circle. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this??

Do discs still boot?

No, games are no longer booting

set the time and the orbs will be spreading out again and swirl around.
And check ur bios for bridges.
