I have a V7 PS2 and a DMS3 mod, with the 1.8 bios. When I try to load a DVDR, the PS2 looks as tho it loads, but then jumps to the browser, and then gives me a RSOD. I've tried fast boot as well, but no dice. It boots original DVD games just fine. As well as CDR games. Any ideas?

PS: I'm using white top generic DVDRs burning at 1x

    Thanks.

Burn a movie on the DVD-R brand you are using now and see if you can play it with the chip disabled.
This way you can tell if it is the chip or the lens.
