Something just caught my eye :S

Well, maybe not for some people that this will work for with the Disc Read Error on V9s.

However, upon inserting a fairly scratched DVD-R movie on OPTODISC media, it said Disc Read Error. At this point I almost shit myself because I thought the board died. However, upon putting a Retail music CD in and / or a DVD-R PS2 Backup or PSX Backup, it worked fine. So if maybe retails still work for people getting the disc read error, then maybe its the media, maybe im wrong but its just a guess at the v9 problem.

Also, I used the VIAs and not the CDX Chip Legs for this V9

may indicate they are more suceptible to noise than other stations and using the vias meant using longer wires and thus the reading and accepting of shitty media is not as forgiving...

But then again looking at kiezer sozez installs... his wires are so long and he claims to never have problems... but he does keep them very flat to the mainboard....

heh, I just couldnt get the wres to stay on the CDX Legs as much as I wanted to :(

I am burning Final Fantasy X-2 onto a OPTODISC DVD-R, I am also gonna burn a rented copy I got of Pirates of the Caribean on the same type of media to see how well it works.

I have an extra 400C laser if this one dies out :S
