I got this from page 31 of "Got FF X Int. to install on my Linux Kit HDD :)" (Click on link to go to post). It is the only way I have seen on these forums to use a non-Sony HDD with BBN.
Would someone please tell me a step-by-step to install and boot the NA BN on a NA PS2 with an off-the-shelf HDD?
I can figure out the obvious part (install HDD with BB Adapter), but where do I go from there? The RTE Save - is it keyed to a specific console, or if I find it, can I transfer it to my PS2 memory card with the GameShark SharkPort? What about the Beta Disc 1? Would it be easier to use? Is it the only thing I could use? What would the exact steps be to use it?
Does anyone know an IRC room where I *might* find someone who has something similar to the RTE save or Linux Kit Beta Disc 1, or the BBN?
Where would I go from there? I take it I have to obtain the BBN for NA. What would I do with it? After I burn it on to a cd, would I just pop it in to my PS2? Would I have to start GameShark first? Would I have to install a modchip?
Can someone pretty much just give me a step-by-step? I do not want to just want to have the HDD, I wand to have it now, before anyone I know has it, so I get bragging rights.

Ok my patience is wearing thin. *ASKING* for an IRC channel to find your Disc is still ASKING for warez. :mad:
PM or email those involved in the thread. Bragging rights or not....do what everyone else is doing....read, try, then ask. There are other tutorials out there as well.
