Hi,
I got a new PS2, Version 7 and I want to know if I can take the messiah chip from my old PS2 (Which is broken) into the new one..will it work? :>

Also, can I have some sort of guide to re-soldering? ><

Also Messia1 was only compateble with ps2 versions up to V6,so no its not possible.

2 UK sites are mrmodchips.com and gameworlddirect.co.uk, but I prefer to get my chips from Spain or Portugal, much better deals, and no problem with customs as they are EU! but for just one chip shipping is probably a bit expensive so go with one of the above.

Yea I do like the matrix infinity. Even crystal chip is nice. But if you dont want to spend too much money duo2se is good. Stay away from dms4 ezi of course. I would try to get it from a UK site. Other countries sites are good but the shipping is high. I hope this helps.

do you reckon i would be able to mod it myself, or should i get a solder-less one which solder-less one is recommened and cheapish

Well if you can have good soldering skills then you could. The Solderless ones if its the EZI then dont buy. No solder mods require the swap disc and that can get annyoing. There must be installers in your area. V7's are easier. Try finding old broken pc parts and solder. That will help install on a ps2. I hope this helps.
