Not to my knowledge. Where abouts are you located? You would be better off finding an installer in your area and get a chip if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.
Ther are no clip kits for slim systems.. I Install Matrix and Crystal for $60 plus free fix if your intrested.Originally Posted by raw15
Must be nice. It cost around $80 canadian plus shipping online to buy a crystal chip or a MI from most places that ship to Canada. At least Divineo has MI's for around $55 Canadian a piece plus shipping. That or everyone would be getting ripper iv chips!!! I charge around $100 for a MI/DMS4 chip install, any version, free sumone fix for v12's. In my area that is cheap! The other two installers in town charge $150 for a Magic/Ripper/Modbo piece of crap and if it doesn't work after bringing it home, its your fault, you did something and they won't replace it or fix. One of them even went so far as to start taking parts out of peoples new ps2's and put in crappy reconditoned stuff. I had a few of his machines that I fixed when he refused to and people would tell me that it was a brand new ps2 and i see's a v9 or something and it had some no-name knock off laser in it. No 400c or hd7's in sight!!! lol. I always try and offer quality chips and quality service instead. I always tell people modding voids their warranty and usuallys puts a bit more stress on the console, so it may shorten your laser life, etc but if you have problems within the first few weeks, bring it back to me and it's a bad chip/loose wire thing, I'll fix it for free. Always makes them happy that I goto those lengths. I just did a v14 that was brand new in the box when it came to me (I did it when I was sick though) and I did something wrong in it. It worked for about a day for him and then was toasted. I looked inside and the power wire was touching in a few spots (damn soldering on Nyquil) so I went and bought him a new ps2 and modded that for him. I can always sell his parts and it's always good Walmart has a 30 day replace warranty and I have a hair dryer!!! lol.

What is the most basic v12 modchip (is there any with 4 or less solder points)
I dont need psx or divx movie support just the most basic.
Well you can get an octapus chip they have 9 wires to solder or 8 if you dont want psx supot but it has 20 tottal points to sloder on the board.. if you are scared to do it have someone install for you so you dont kill your system.Originally Posted by raw15
