Where can I find a website that carries 15W soldering irons? I also am in need of a 0.1 or 0.2 mm tip. I would like to know where I find these at. I looked in the topic called "for those in need of soldering wire and equipment" and check those sites to no avail. I would prefer that they be a reliable source but beggars can't be choosers. Anything will do. Thanks a mill.

Did you try http://www.amidon-inductive.com/asso...tapeswires.htm that I referenced in another post and my famous "PS2 Soldering Tips" post?

I did check there. I didn't see anywhere that they carried soldering irons and tips. I'm getting my wire and stuff from them, I just can't seem to find a 15W iron and a 0.1 or 0.2 mm tip. Thanks

    I hate RadioSharks, but they do carry 15W for $5.99 - $7.99.

I think you will probably find it very hard to find an iron with a .1mm tip. I've seen some real nice 'wellers' that get close to that. They have quick interchangable tips. I however, got the $15 iron from RS and sharpened the tip to a fine point with a file. It still works great.

If I do file it down, will it still work like a regular soldering iron w/ a small tip? I mean, I don't mind doing that considering I'm probably only gonna use like once. Thanks to everyone who has responded.

You'll be suprised how many 'uses' you'll find for that soldering iron. I doubt you'll use it just once.
