nahhhhh the bios clip is a waste of time its ok but a slight knock and you have to reseat it solder is a permenent solution.
thnx for the help guys! And thanks for the tip Guichi.
I cant understand those clips lol. To solder to the bios I clean iron, get a very small amount of solder on the end of the tip, carefully place tip to bottom of bios pin and bring tip over the pin to the top of it. This tins the leg, then tin the wire than I want to solder to bios pin. Now I put a small amount of solder on wire and bend the end of the bare wire so it fits the shape of the bios pin. Carefully hold the wire over the leg and the heat of the iron fuses the two together. Finally apply a gentle tug on the wire to ensure its soldered together. BTW I always solder to modchip first then to point, as I dont like manouvering the wire too much after soldering it...Those that have soldered to vias on V4s will know what I mean lol.
well my dad has a medal sander....hat if i sand it down to that small?

I used a 1.2mm and 25w solder iron install the v3, but not sucessful. I got some solder bridged on the Video controller pins.
but I cleaned it, and now my PS2 returned to normal.
Do anyone know the solder iron that modchip.ca selling, what's the size of the tip? and is it 15w?
they said on their website, it's perfect for modchip install.
and nothing else.
I use a weller 14W iron, don't know the exact size of the tip in mm, but it's small, and since its not long, its easier to manuver.. There should be a weller web site, I bought mine at the local electronics store, didn't find anything good at RadioShack..
This is all I found: http://www.crawfordtool.com/weller.html
If someone finds a better site, or the company's, please post.
