is this a solder bridge?
is this a solder bridge? –
i have 39001 V7 with magic 2. no load games of any sort. i troubleshoot and find something that *may* be a solderbridge?
i removed a wire "P" from the bios chip. then with Ohm meter i check resistance between pin "P" and the leg between "P" and "O". the resistance is 0.01 meaning there is a bridge here. but it does not look there is any solder! even under magnify glass. does anyone know if this is supposed to be connected? perhaps the schematic has these two connected somewhere?
as a check *no* other legs are connected to their neighbour.
turns out its a solder bridge. i put a solder wick onto pin and then heated it up for 2 seconds with 18W soldering iron.
solder bridge came off, and then infinite resistance between the two pins.
soldered "P" back to pin and walla!
PS2 V7 NTSC, Magic 2 working!!!
Phew! Not bad - just one bridge to fix. Well done.
