Hi,
I bought moded ps2 from a friend of mine. It has a dms4 chip in it and laser fixed. The problem is when everytime i boot up a backups, I get "please insert a ps2 disk" error. This usually occured the first time i put the disk in. If i power off and power the ps2 back on, the same disk boot. Then when i replace a different disk, same problem occured again and i have to go through 1 power cycle. I tried to flash the chip and the bio flashing part is fine. Any idea what is going on? Is the laser is bad and need to be replace? Thank.

I am not sure what you mean. I tried the official bio and the toxix bio on the dms 4 lite.
