I'm having a problem with my v14 ps2 that has a xeno ps modchip installed in it. I have installed chips in friends ps2's before and they've never had a problem but with this one it has a horrible boot rate and sometimes will just have a black screen. I am using kynar wire for all points except the power and ground which use 20 awg stranded wire. I went over all the wires to see if any were loose or not connected well but everything looks and feels good and there doesn't seem to be any crushed wires when I put the ps2 back together. The power wire is probably 1 - 1.5" long and the ground is less than an inch long and everything seems fine but it's just acting weird like this. does anyone know any alternate power points or have any suggestions on how to fix this?

The board I have is GH-041-14 but looking through install diagrams it seems to be a little different and this perticular one which says unknown on the site is a perfect match with it http://sksapps.com/diagrams/ps2/xenoPS/V14-V16-US.jpg
