    does this disk really boot up back ups with out having to modify my ps2? cause if so thats the way i want to go but you know what they say..if somehting sounds to good to be true it usually is ;( ...anyway anyone try this out i would like some feedback on it...

    arrrrrrrrr, yes it works. However, the down side is that it WILL damage the interal workings of the CD/DVD tray mechanisms so it will. Use at your own risk so to speak.

    Listen to the Cap'n. Truth is, you can do this trick with a plastic knife just as easily. If you take this route, expect the cost of a new ps2 to be in your future. Even the flippy lids are better for your system than this.

    The cost of an installed chip might seem high now, but it's worth it in the long run.

    na i could afford a chip my problem would be the whole soldering part...i got a matrix modchip(no solder) for my xbox

    ye thats probably what i will do unfortunatly i still dont know what chip to get..haha i know this is somehting i should research my self but i'm lazy so in your opion whats the best chip with most features.

    DMS3 has the most features.. but messiah 2 is known for being a good solid chip , and reliable.. its a toss up between the 2.

    I have a DMS3 and I still haven't a problem so if anyone buy a chip I think DMS3 is recomended. And with PS2Reality you can also see Divx and MP3. The program will run from memory card it's great. That's my opinion.I say thank's to DMS3 and PS2Reality Team. I think it would be better for the booth to work together instead of discussing. Sorry for the bad english but I'm from Portugal.
