If you trained on V3 than there are no extra difficulty.
Just be carefull, some of them are sensible ;)
Well if your going to use the cdx chip pins to solder the cd/dvd wires it can be a bit difficult in the beginning. The Pins are longer but you should have any problem.
What about the issue of the v9/v10 lasers dying? Is it worth it to mod these versions, when down the road the laser and LA chip will blow, and then you have to try and explain it to them that it has nothing to do with the modchip.

its a v10
i thought the laser/LAchip issue was mostly the v9's.
just finished.
mxl2 in a v10 gh026.
much easier than the v3, but that was a dms too.
