serious help
I need serious help. i busted my ps2. it was working before i put in the messiah 2 chip. i had a magic 3 in it. all i did was solder in 2-3 more wires. i did nothing wrong. i didn't even touch the bios. i put the magic 3 back in again and it has the same symptom. i broke 2 ps2 now with that damn messiah 2 chip. it's just a black screen. nothing happens. no disc activity. the reset button is working with red and green lights. no blue light. i couldn't even eject.

It would help if you gave us the version number of your PS2.
If its a V7, check the surfacemount fuse located very close to your 3.3 volt point on the mobo. That fuse will cause the symptoms your describing.

hehe yeah it is a version 7. GH-022. which fuse are you talking about? i'm kinda new to electronic things, so i don't know how to check it. What should it read on the multimeter? should it read 0 or some number? how would i replace the fuse? i read most of the old forums around here and they speak in electronic wording i don't understand, please help me

Neither of those components marked on your pic are fuses. One is a capacitor (brown component) and the other is a resistor (black component).
Check the pic I've attached to this post for the surfacemount fuse you need to check.
If the fuse is ok, then you should get almost zero ohms on your meter, but if you get no reading, then its open circuit and needs to be replaced.
Unfortunately these components are not easy to source, but some web sites that sell mod chips usually stocks these components. You need to do a search.

or u can use a variant glass fuse to replace it

Its the PS14 fuse in the center as Relayer indicated. You can get a fuse from a broken ps2/psx.

how do i remove and replace that fuse safely with a 15 watt soldering iron? i don't have that "special' heat gun.
also how is it that everytime i put in this one messiah chip, it has the same symptom and when i remove it, it doesn't work? i only added 4 wires to my ps2 with the magic 3 in it. i didn't bridged anything

i checked the ps14 fuse and it reads 9 k ohms. all of te other fuses read 0 ohm. so do i replace that one? i heard something about the ba chip needing a replacement also. could that be another cause?

well lets see u can take it out with a needle and iron umm let see thats a 2 amperage fuse. u only need to replace the ba if it is bad
