When i was installing a modchip to a ps2 v7 the point where the scex is I soldered it and the chip fell off, can i fix it? or do i even need the lile orange resitor thingy all my games seem to work and dvds just not burnt ones

you only need it to play ps1 games on ur ps2. if all the other points are done properly then everything should work fine besides ps1 games.
