S-Video in Black and white

I have just bought an S-Video cable for the PAL ps2 and TV.
However it displays in black and white,
Any ideas how to fix this?

some tv's have this problem, mine too, do yo use the s video in, or a scart adapter? if you use one of them, try the other, also: if you use say, scart1, try one of the others. one last thing: is everything b/w or just games? maybe it's a pal/ntsc problem

i had this problem, make sure some of the pins insidethe cable are not bent and the connector is pushed all the way into the tv. hope that helps

I had the same problem with my dvd player. I had to to use video 1 instead of video 2.

nah, I had the same problem as nosnam, make sure the pins are straight and not bent.
