RWs on ps2

Can anyone list the compatibility of RW (DVD and CD) disks with different ps2 versions. I have a version 4, but I have heard that only V7+ can read DVD-RW/CD-RW. Or maybe someone could point me to a compatibility chart with version/media compatibility? Thanks.

v5 and up can read -rw media no problem. Lower than a v5 generally no.
