Run elf files without dev mode?

Is it possible to run elf files from a slim ps2 without a devmode chip? I was wondering because im thinking about getting a duo 3 on my slim ps2. Would a duo 3 work is it compatible with the slim version?

Yep, you can make and ELF disc, for the files you will need http://www.exploitstation.com/videos/make_elf_disc.rar

and for the tutorial http://www.exploitstation.com/videos...ng_disc_fs.htm

or if you want more than 1 ELF you can use THIS disc attached.

where do i go to on the exploit station website ::confusion rising:: nvm thanks alot this helped so will it run from the cd or will it load it on memory card wait.......isnt that dev mode?

It will run and load all the ELFs from the CD, I would recommend getting a DEV. Mode modchip like Crystal Chip 1.1, Matrix Infinity, or DMS4 Pro to run ELFs and they have a lot of other great features also.

so what would be more recommendable the modbo 745 or octapus 3D? I heard the octapus 3D was easier to install

Octapus 3d out of the two... but would recommend MI, CC1.1 or DMS if you can spend a little more for some more features ans reliability....

Yeah ModBo and Octapus are both clone modchips, get the orginal GOOD modchips like Crystal Chip 1.1, Matrix Infinity, or DMS4 Pro

octapus isn't a clone it uses ice code which is free and they give credits to the makers of it

Not using it own code like CC1.1, MI or DMS4 Pro.
