RSOD Problem....

Hi I installed a Mars 2 303 modchip in a v5/v6 PS2. My problem is that it won't read anything period... I put in a real copy of socom 2, mgs2 did not boot, tried some backups did not boot.. anyone have any idea's ??? Could it be my Ground wires ? are they not thick enough ?
