Thats perfect. No matter how many i do I am still nervous when trying to lift the chip leg...so damn fragile. I am assuming that the chip leg has been lifted from the board. It is hard to tell from the picture.

Thanks kimvets , Yeh I lifted the leg.It was mainly the soldering points that I was checking. In your opinion does this romeo mod work? I mod chipped a v9 with a magic v plus chip without the romeo mod (I didn't know about it at the time. was my first attempt at a ps2) and it only lasted a couple of months before it burnt out. I haven't done a v9 since only v7's. If this mod works then I might give a v9 another go. Another question , What sort of laser fix do you do on your v12's when installing magic kx and do you have any trouble with this combination (v12/magic kx)?
Sorry for all the questions , Thanks
