Romeo mod question –
Ok before I buy a V10, is it suggested that I do the ROMEO mod before installing (and / or receiving my matrix infinity in the mail from modchipman canada) my matrix infinity and if so, how do I lift the pin, I have a Weller (I think thats the company name) soldering station and it goes up to about 800° F I think. I just dont wqant to **** with that chip the first day I get a Playstation2 again. And if it ends up being the new V11 (GH-029) w/ the new lens units, should I even bother with the Romeo mod?
Solderless Mods and Flip tops are like tampons, every pussy needs one!
Newbie question... what's a Romeo mod?
i'm newbie too , anyway i guess it's a mod that they fix for V9/10 PS2s so it would avoid the ps2 from heating up, cuz some people who modded their v9/10 ps2s without the romeo mod , had problems with their ps2s cuz it heats up fast !

Definately worth doing on v9 and 10 even if you dont have a mod chip installed. The 9 and 10 are cheaply built and at some stage the LA chip on your board might blow taking the laser with it. This mod removes the risk of it happening.
LiquidCell: The best thing to do is head up the pin for a sec or 2 and lift it. Put a needle or something under the pin and it should move easily. Dont overheat the chip.
