Just wanted to ask if that's necessary
because those v11 got different laser units than v9/v10
so any idea?
(there are already many threads about v11s but noone really answered the question)

Can't remember the v11's - but if its got a LA chip on I'd do it. Wouldnt do any harm.

nope, not necessary.
A little off topic, but how are the lasers in those V11's? Better than 400C/HD7? I was debating on whether or not to get one.
swordfish
well seems it recognizes cd/dvds etc a lot faster
compared to my old v4 in most games there is a very slight loading diff
well that may be also because I've had this console for many years, playing regularly
i Don't like the v11 at all
i have seen 8 of them (silver satin with only one controller)
and 3 of them returned after a month with a dead laser
2 where DVD part was gone
1 where CD part was gone
so the laser is not a real quality part
none of them did had a Romeofix but it was not a LA chip blast like in v9 and v10
biggest problem is that those laser are not compatible with a 400c or HD7
(different connector) and you can't buy them alone ,
grtz
