Ripper 2 Gold BOOT.ELF problem
Ripper 2 Gold BOOT.ELF problem –
Hello. I wonder if anyone can help me with this.
Installed Ripper 2 Navi. I can boot to it by holding down triangle. However, when I check the directory structure of the memory card with ExecFTP, to see where I should put Keylauncher/Launchelf/HDLoader, I see what is in the image attached:
Ripper 2 Navi has installed in /mc/0/ with 3 items - a directory called \BOOT , a file called \BOOT\MENU.TXT and a file named \BOOT\BOOT.ELF .
I've read that this is due to a bug in the install.cnf where \ should be / in the install paths. So I fixed this, and got BOOT.ELF and MENU.TXT to install in a folder called BOOT in /mc/0/. Unfortunately with the files and folders like this, pressing triangle on booting the ps2 doesn't load the elf, it just takes me to the sony browser. This implies that the bug is on the chip?
Does anyone know of any sort of fix for this? Obviously it makes it impossible for me to upload a new BOOT.ELF file by ExecFTP as I would have to name it "\BOOT\BOOT.ELF" and I don't think Windows will like that. And I will have many blue blocks of "corrupted data" on my mc. Also, if I succeed in getting the Kaylauncher elf onto the mc as "\BOOT\BOOT.ELF", where should I put KL.DAT?
TIA to anyone with a solution.
