Requesting some help, identifying my modchip
Requesting some help, identifying my modchip –

Hello there everybody!
I'm very new on this forum here and I have the following question:
Could someone please be so kind to aid me with identifying and the proper use of this modchip? (see attachment)
I have gotten this a cheap price, so I will not complain, but this has gotten me a little bit wondering here and there.

(as far as I can tell this is a Pro-7 (and Google is giving me very little useful results, searching for 3-4 hours))
Slimline SCPH-70004 PAL board used (see attachment)

The only real trouble I'm having is a possible firmware upgrade and trouble running my PSX-backups.
DVD+R runs fine (Fujifilm, TDK, Verbatim) for PS2 backups, burned 1x,2x,4x or 8x speeds.
DVD-R I have trouble with, might be my LG burners.
for the PSX backups I use Sony CD-R (700MB) and burned them at 1x,10, 48x speed - to no avail (epsxe still runs them though)
And here comes the thing: I've tried 2 backups (tested working on latest epsxe with latest plugins)
The browser does recognize it is a PSX-disc, but booting up and the screen stays black, no sound, disc spinning.
I've tried what I knew from the past. Pressing on, holding ^, [], O or X or combinations thereof. No avail.
Also I've been trying to identify by diagrams and pictures, to no avail. (for example: neoasic's diagram page)
Any kind person out there that could give me some directions, I will be ever so thankful.
(don't be affraid to use some lingo. I have a good history of modding (hard/soft) my own consoles with succes)
