Replacing ps2 laser

I burnt out my v3 ps2 laser and am looking for a replacement. I went here:

and found one. Now after my laser died I attempted to increase the voltage by turning the pots, which still didnt work. On the site all it shows is the laser piece, if I switch the laser will it use the increased voltage and blow? Or do I get the full piece to replace my entire laser unit?

Also, if anyone could find me a diagram/instructions on how to install it I'd appreciate it.
