    hi, i had a problem with a gh-022 board(v7) where i wsa getting a black screen and no eject and no eject light so i replaced the BA chip which came from a dead v4 now the ps2 powers up but im still unable to eject the tray the blue eject light which was not coming on before is now flashing....can any one help please!!!!

    Maybe the new BA chip blowed up too.

    thats what i originally thought so i replaced the BA chip again so this is the second BA chip ive installed and im having the same problem..ps2 powers up but the tray doesn't eject and the blue light flashes

    Maybe you should check more into what's causing the problem because the next BA chip you will install will probably blow up too until you fix the problem.

    You've possibaly replaced the wrong BA chip or both need to be replaced.
    The one that controls the eject function is the BA6664FM. The other controls the sled and spindle motors and laser focus. But failure of either BA chip can give you a black screen.
    Its possible that both BA chips are faulty, but you've gotten a screen now, only because you've replaced the right one. i.e. BA5815FM.
