i have installed a matrix infinity into a pal v9 (diagram). it worked fine , and played backups like it's supposed to. after 3 days, it wouldn't boot my backups so i opened up my ps2. the scex point was loose, and i noticed something funny about the little resistance it is soldered on. it was loose, in fact, it seemed broken. one of the iron pieces at the end of the resistance was loose
i figured i heated it too much, and i ****ed up the resistance. so i took out an old v7, removed the same resistance and put it in my v9. i also removed my modchip and all wires, and did a sweep for solder balls. my ps2 boots and seems to run fine now, but after a minute or 2, it crashes. also, when i insert a dvd i get a lot of skipping, resulting in a crash. i managed to play an audio cd, but after pressing eject to remove it, the damn thing crashed again.
anyone recognise the symptoms? did i do the right thing by replacing the resistance (anyone care to measure it on his ps2)?
