Regarding DNAS software which run off HDD. –

After I found out a bad cluster on my FFXI HDD, I figured this out after scanning the drive in a PC with Maxtor's PowerMax software:
By connecting, acessing, reading or modifying a PS2 HDD in a IBM/PC or other platform, you set a trap on the drive which cause ALL online play DNAS protected software installed on the given HDD to get it's online functionality completely disabled.
I am in the process of re-installing all from BBnavi .20, upgrading to .30, install and update Playonline Viewer and then Install and update FFXI with it's expansion disc.
And all because I wanted to fix a bad cluster on my drive. Scanning it won't solved the bad cluster problem and caused me to have all my software reinstalled on the drive.
I let this as a warning for all future North America FFXI users TO DO NOT ATTEMPT to connect their drives to PCs if Square Enix don't ship discs to allow a reinstall.
(It seems DNAS is a lot more stronger than some thought ...)
