Refuses to boot PS2 backups..
Refuses to boot PS2 backups.. –

I have a UK Pal 39003 Version 7 with a GH-022 motherboard, I've fitted a Magic 3 modchip and it will not boot any PS2 backups, all originals are fine and PSX backups boot fine, DVD movies and games (originals) all work fine,
I've used alternative points, thicker gauge wire for GND and +5v, shortened all wires as short as possible, checked and rechecked the bios with a multimeter, infact I've rechipped the machine 4 times now, each time I get the same results.
I've spent ages examining the bios with a magnifying glass and multimeter, I've also been using solder braid just incase there is a tiny solder ball or splash hiding below the chip, I'm now totally lost, I can't see any reason for this to be happening.
If the chip was damaged then why does it allow PSX backups to boot?
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!

CD-Rs or DVD-Rs wont boot? Which? Both?
Any chance of a photo in detail of your install? Diagnosis at a distance is so difficult.

Both CDR and DVDR fail to boot mate.
PSX backups are fine and all original discs are fine.
PS2 seems to be focusing on the discs but then gives me the Red screen.
Sorry I no longer have my scanner so I can't get an image of the board for you :-(

B and C are both fine, all points have been carefully checked and rechecked and resoldered and thoroughly tested with a meter.
I'm installing the chip into another PS2 tomorrow, that'll let me know wether or not the chip is to blame.
I'm sure the chip is ok though, as PSX backups are booting fine.
I'm certain that I have made a mistake somewhere, but I just can't find it.
