I have a V4 with duo2se installed by a customer and it doesnt work so he brings it in and i rewire it. i tested the thing without a modchip and strangely this thing detects the dvd disc original but stop reading for a second and starts reading again. at this point the screen is at the broswer and it detects and reads the disc perfectly and i can go into the game. I take out this motherboard and replace it with an extra motherboard i have installed with a duo2 and i put it in and it plays back up cdr and dvdr with no hint of problem at all. I was like hmmm the laser is good so i go ahead and install the duo2se on the other v4 from the customer. when i finished installing it i tested it with a original dvd game and it still does the same thing. however with dvdr backup games on taido yuden it gives me the red screen, but i can hear the dvdrom detect the disc just fine except it goes into the broswer screen to detect. cdr backups work fine.

any ideas? im totally stumped! i tried cleaning the board and recheck soldering and also replaced the chip. same results

do you have any bridged connections in any of the IC's?.. try to look behind the arms too... solder could have seeped back there too.
