i have searched multi fourms and havent found my answer. i have just installed a dms 4 pro on a v4 ps2 and when I put everythig together the power button or eject button do not work. the red light comes on so i know i dont have a power supply problem. What do you guys think the problem is? i have seen lots of posts about no power but my ps2 is getting power its just the buttons arnt working.
Could be your power eject cable (the cable that runs to the buttons at the front iwth the light on them). Check to see if there is any tear/crimps in the cable, that could cause that problem.
also check to see if your rst i belive it is...aka reset wire is connected well thats what happend to me on mine
yep you were right, there was a rip in my flex cable.

right at the part that connects to my ps2 there was one metal band that was broken. i went up to auto zone and bought a window defroster fixer that works just like a trace repair pen but cheaper. did the trick. thanks.
