Recommendation for SCPH-30002
Recommendation for SCPH-30002 –
I have a pretty old PS2 a PAL SCPH-30002. Just deciding to get my PS2 modded as Australia has a very slow release on getting new games (especially RPGs!!) out here. If anyone can point me to some links or give recommendations that'd be greatly appreciated.
If you are in Australia and you are looking to get a station modded of that Age then I suggest the DUO chip would be the best for game loading, price and installation ease.
Are you looking at getting it installed or just for the chip?
I am also in Oz and can help by installing or supplying the:
Ok but not the best options:
No solder options:
V4 R-MOD + SBOX + AR2 or DVD region X etc - if it is a V4 not a V3
Your laser may also need a clean or an adjustment due to age.
This is done free of charge as part of the installation service I provide.
Feel free to email or PM for more info. or just visit my web link below in my sig.
Thanks SK I was in a hurry to get it done since I finally decided to have the warranty sticker taken off hehe. I just went to some "professional" place to get it done. I wanted the DUO or Messiah2 chip but the guy wanted $200 for it and it would take longer to do (a few days) *sighs* so I went with the Magic 3 chip. I also found your great post http://www.ps2newz.net/forums/showth...ighlight=30002
*goes off hunting for a good online seller*
huh - that is funny - a DUO taking longer to do... with only 17 wires compared to 22-24
I put DUOs and Apple Pro's in for $145 AUD including the chip.
I just checked out that old thread...
I love how this happened:
Anti-static work area or at least a wrist strap
Electrical tape and or Hot glue
double sided tape for the chip is it is a M2
amazing the auto sensor does not like the word "str ipp ers" due to it having a certain other word included in the middle!
