Quick Question About PS2 Console Versions

Hello,

I have heard some rumors about a version 8 ps2 for the US Market. Is This true or is there only up to version 7 currently. I also heard of a price drop of the US console to 150$. Can Someone Confirm?

I myself havnt seen any V7.1s here but cant confirm its non existence. The PS2 Price WILL NOT drop. No reason to they are selling like hotcakes and the xbox definatly wont drop unless its forced to, so no, no rpice drop.
