What warrenty do you give/offer on modded consoles.

Or perhaps the question I should ask is how long do you warrenty the installation for.

I have 3 v9 all with Magic V 50k come back to me. All have the same problem. Black screen but everything else works. All units tested before being returned to owners. One unit lasted 2 hours. The other 2 units went for 6-8 weeks. They have this black screen problem also

    Thanks

On installations such a wires coming loose etc - 12 months to life - depending on signs of abuse...

On the chip - limited - depending on what advice the customer was given prior to install.

Zero if they supply their own chip - but still cover the install.

Short if the console has been opened by customer prior to install - - especially if an inferior mod was installed.

So far black screen problems and dead V9's in my opinion are installer errors so should be covered no matter what. Installed multiple BlueX-5's and a MagicV 50k and never had problems.

shadowknyght, you said something about an inferior mod previously installed, in my ver 5 ps2 i have an old neo 2.6 chip i put in it a few years ago, i want to put a dms3 in it now.....should i just leave the ver 5 alone and go out and get a new ps2 for the new mod....supposedly those ver. 9 problems are with pal consoles, im in the us so i should be fine....what do you think, my ver 5 has had many mods in it before the neo 2.6, and the inferior mod thing you said made me think about getting a new ps2 for the new mod......

Yes should be ok as long as the mod was done professionally and the chip was not of a type that can destroy your station...

The more mods you have done the more chance of something going wrong - probability and all that...
